I believe he no more identifies with how black people are portrayed as I do. Your comment to me stated this how black people want to see themselves portrayed and how it is real.
Yes, it is real for many communities in Chicago and Detroit, but it is wildly inaccurate for many black families across the country. There was a Master Sergeant I worked with in the Air Force who would have stopped watching halfway through the pilot and made sure his kids did not watch it.
This was not his experience and detested how so many black people are portrayed in TV and movies. It normalizes bad behavior and makes it almost expected by people of other colors.
I believe eclark has the same outlook.
