TENOR GUITAR"
Glad this came up....nice to post on your site. I have had a running dialogue on KTPlace re Nick's strumming style. I think it was amazing, especially a thing he often did where he doubled up an already fast strum. To me, it's most evident on the Lake Tahoe live recording of "I'm Goin' Home." It comes after Bob's first verses...Well no matter (Double fast strum) Where I wander (double fast strum). I have to admit that I didn't see the Trio live during your stint in the group although I have seen some video clips. I bring this up because I think you do the same strum on occasion. I have a Martin 0-18T and have played along with Trio records for years. I can usually nail it fairly close to the recording, but I CAN'T do that double time strum. It's a strum that I have also heard on banjo, particulary on Worried Man...I'm worried now (double time strum) but I wont be worried long. Hope this makes sense to you. By the way, say hi to my good friend Peter Boyles...I used to do a TV sports thing in Denver on Ch 7 in the mid 80's and was often a guest on his show and, occasionally subbed for him when he was off. Pete was off one day and I subbed when he had some guy named John Stewart as a guest. What a rush. Glad Pete's helping with the promotion of your new song.
