Posted by Josh Fuller On another interesting tangent, Roger may have never played the tenor, but he was a banjo player. I have(somewhere) a copy of an album he did with another fellow whose name escapes me, which features him frailing on a song or two. I've never seen any footage of him playing the five string with the Kingston Trio, however. On a tangent to the tangent, since we're talking about instruments ask Bobby about the banjo bass he built for Paul Gabrielson, and the once-performed four banjo version of Worried Man.

I belive Nick Reynolds did play a bit of six string guitar. I've seen a photo or two of him playing one, and I know he has mentioned that he had a Martin New Yorker that his father had owned. I would also add, as far as the tenor goes, I have deep respect for anybody who could master that damn felt pick-I threw mine away years ago and went to the thinnest plastic picks I can find. Cheating? Perhaps.
