You once again directly addressed me on this issue.
"So I ask Speaking and all that agree with her (not that I'm trying to be confrontational or ask people to choose sides -- but I give this food for thought..)
What is your greater desire?
To see the boy do well and be spared humiliation?
To get retribution for the 'parents' who did this?"
To see the boy do well and be spared humiliation?
His parents went to great lengths to make sure this couldn't happen when they put him on public display.
To get retribution for the 'parents' who did this?
Yes, and yes. And, if I didn't make it clear the answer is yes. Parenting classes and a lecture on human decency if nothing else.
I was prepared to let this die and go away once I voiced my opinion but I see apparently you want to carry on this topic and discussion by posing direct questions to me.
"It's arrogant to say "I still think I'm right" - but even though that's a fact - it's not worth going to the ends of the earth on the matter."
Perhaps not to the ends of the earth, but just half way there? Because no matter how much you try, no matter what angle you approach me at, and as frustrating as it may be for you...guess what, I STILL do not agree with you and see this situation your way.
As I said, I wanted this topic to fade away. The last thing I want to do is cause any (additional) humiliation to this child. So Dee, by YOU bringing this conversation back up and directing more questions at me on this topic....who's "holding that sign now"?
Just some food for thought, Dee are you sure your desire or need to be declared the winner of this debate...."since your not asking anyone to choose sides" or anything of the sort, has not blinded you?
