I see you think very highly of yourself. I'm sure the docs did trust you 100%, which is why you are so busy convincing a person you've never met on the internet about just how competent you are. Trying to pull rank on how you worked in a Level 1 trauma center - how come you didn't become a real doctor instead of just a nurse, you know, if you're so smart?
Don't worry your little heart. Studies have been done and more are coming. The Kentucky one was a small start. The biggest fact is we provide good care based on outcomes being similar - you don't need a study like you are asking for (that a political action committee funded, so we know how unbiased your CRNA studies are). The data of insurers and national provider data says what we already know. You can't provide a study to refute our safety, now can you?
The reason AA's haven't taken off is simple. CRNAs are so insecure they go cry to their legislature at any threat. PAs took time as well. As the population grows, so will AA's in a manner similar to PA's. People like me are actively working on this and don't get tired easily, so eventually you will be worn down (I love a hissy fit from CRNA PACs!). And CRNA's are well funded to keep their interests, not the public's, at heart. MD anesthesia is not that old in itself. It's okay. I won't take your job, you'll always have a place in an OR - but you may become more expendable in the near future.
You are in an interesting opinion to talk about people "questioning your ability." CRNAs are the most insecure people in the world - think they are physicians, pump tons of money into PACs to further their cause, and now are going to call themselves "doctors" by creating their own internet degree! I think that's all I need to say about that.
Now go take your Zyprexa - you won't know what that is, unlike those of us with real medical training you just know anesthesia and nothing else. I'm sure you were very competent following your standing orders in the "level 1 trauma center" you brag about - but your fear and insecurity can't be helping your already unstable condition.
