Just checking your math and I calculate things a bit differently. If there are currently 3,800 CRNA students, that doesn't mean that 3,800 graduate every year. Only half of the students are second year, graduating class. At most half of that number will graduate each year, so closer to 1,900 CRNA's added every year. So according to your numbers, instead of 40,000 CRNA's added over the next 10 years it's actually more like 19,000. And if according to you a third of the current 37,000 CRNA's retire over the next ten years that adds up to about 12,000 CRNA's leaving the work force. So based on my math, that's only a net gain of about 7,000 CRNA's over the next ten years which brings the total from 37,000 to 44,000 CRNA's, quite different from your estimate of 80,000.
