DC- With all do respect-you have taken my comments completely out of context. You don't think that I realize that once legislation is passed that the AAAA is going to post it on their website? You are mistaken by my comments-as Ive been an advocate for AAs in Utah for sometime now. In fact-Ive educated a number of our Anesthesiologists about AAs. They all have gone to medical school/residency here in the wes-where there are no AAs. But because Ive presented the information-they are on board and supportive of AAs.
As I said in my other post-this is the 2nd year legislation is on the docket. It failed last year because (similar to what you were saying about the NAs) the UANA fought it and won. This is the 2nd year that the Utah Medical Association and the Utah Society of Anesthesiologists have sponsored/supported the bill and have lobbied for it. In fact, Ive even contacted my legislators as a constitiuient in urging them to approve the bill.
I was being sarcastic because everyone talks about how "bad" Utah is because of the high number of Mormons here. But if they really knew how great Utah was they'd be here in a flash. I hope the bill passes, but if it takes time (like Florida did-5 years) then that's what it will take; One state at a time.
