The Cleveland "research" labeled a "study" by the ASA has never undergone peer review and has never been published. Why? Because it is simply opinion used by the ASA to further ASA economic/political goals. I'm sure your airway management and ACLS skills are appropriate for your self described paramedic back round. Unfortunately the only way to acquire the well rounded multi faceted education and intensive clinical expertise of a critical care RN is to become one. Furthermore, the only way to become equal with a CRNA is to use that very important RN back round to actually become a CRNA. Doctors assistants (AAs) are totally dependent on, and clinically completely useless with out an anesthesiologist. That my friend, is a far cry from a CRNA.
