For the record Ram yes I was referring to you I assume you were a CRNA who is anti AA-C just by your remarks and for the record I never said I was upset I said I was disappointed there is a difference. That's the only reason why she went CRNA route other wise she would have gone AA-C route as she had planed to go from the start. I personally don't understand why that is so hard for you to understand or to accept what I'm telling you.

I sincerely wish her the best in CRNA school my issue that I have is we as Allied Health Care Professionals including you! and me! are not supporting each other in the same manner as the Nursing profession. Why do you think nurses have so much power and leverage?...because they support one another such as R.N.s, C.R.N.A.s, N.P.s, A.O.R.N., N.A.(nurses association) P.A.C.U.(nurse) etc. Yes their practice & specialty may be different from one another but there still nurses and still support each other.

I feel it should be the same for all allied health professionals across the board such as AA-Cs, PA-Cs, RRT, RCPs, Cer.ATT, CCP, EMT, PMs, MTs, & CST, need to start supporting one another if we really want to see "change" and increase in our numbers as A.A.-C.s our strength is in our numbers. No offense Ram but this is why it's so important to support the AA-C profession in reality they are our role models to look up to when wanting to become anesthetist as allied health care professionals. Nursing profession the vast majority of RNs, LPNs, LVNs and CNAs role model are CRNAs they look up to when wanting to become anesthetist.

All I'm saying is that it we have to take a stand and support our society in stead of always running to the nursing profession side for support and/or help when we need to support our own. That's why I'm going AA-C I want to be an "advocate" and make a huge differences in the AA-C profession they have come a long ways. You can't stop progress especially when it comes to patient care and education. In all honesty If I was an RN,BSN I would still go AA-C route for several reasons which I chose not to get into I assure you know where I'm going with this.

In conclusion if we all were to support each other in the same manner as nursing profession can you imagine the power and leverage we would have. The more AA-Cs we recruit the bigger their numbers grow meaning more practice rights in other states and more AA-C schools open across the country that are needed.

Prime example when an PA-C wants to become an anesthetist the vast majority of them go AA-C route instead of CRNA route it only makes since.

No need to insult people on here nobody is perfect including yourself Ram what goes around comes around we all have our flaws and strong points in what we do. Have a good day and best wishes to you in school AA-C/CRNA.
