With all do respect Ram I'm not going to argue or play politics with you or anyone else on here for that matter. As I said before I "respect" both anesthetists A.A.-C./C.R.N.A. again I don't like the politics and tactics that the AANA use to block A.A.-C.s from practicing in other states where there is a shortage of mid-level anesthesia provider (that being C.R.N.A.) is being felt acutely FACT!.

And maybe your right perhaps fellow nurses told her the pros and cons of CRNA versus AA-C scope of practice.

In all honesty Ram I also introduce her to the AA-C profession versus CRNA profession program and also told her the pros and cons of the scope of practice. Trust me It's not like she didn't know before she became a nurse as an RRT.

I sat down and showed her both anesthetist program and at the time she was heavily set on going AA-C route with out having to obtain a second Bachelor's Degree (when she already have a bachelor's of Science degree) then to a Master Degree just to become an anesthetist when there is an alternative route in doing the same job as an CRNA but only a shorter path as an AA-C.

In all honesty Ram I feel I don't owe you or anyone else an explanation. I'm just going by facts what I was told the reason why she became a nurse in order to become an anesthetist.

And I will say it again she said that the AANA are planing to close all the AA-C programs down which is FALSE. Again sad but true Ram dirty politics whether you want to admit it or not the truth is the truth. Prime example in the state of Oklahoma when they license AA-Cs this year May 2008 if was a nasty battle with the AANA against the AAAA once again CRNAs trying to block AA-Cs from being license and working in that state.

When are we going to wake up and learn Ram that both anesthetists are doing the same job in the ACT anesthesia is anesthesia whether you go AA-C route or CRNA route. And I will keep making my point that every time when the AANA put down or disrespect the AAAA,AA-C profession keep in mind your disrespecting your fellow RN,BSN/RN,ADN nurses that once worked in ICU with you.

When a R.N.,B.S.N./A.D.N. chose to go AA-C route they are Allied Health Anesthetist Profession and still function as both a nurse and an anesthetist = R.N.A.A.-C.,M.S.A.(Master of Science in Anesthesiology) R.N.A.A.-C.,M.M.Sc.,(Master of Medical Science in Anesthesiology) and R.N.A.A.-C.,M.H.Sc.(Master of Health Science in Anesthesiology) in the same manner as a C.R.N.A.,M.S.N.(Master of Science in Nursing Nurse Anesthesia).

A nurse is a nurse whether it's a female or male, a anesthetist is a anesthetist whether he/she is an AA-C or CRNA why is that so hard to comprehend?...And why is it every time when a person point out the truth or facts people on her mainly negative CRNAs/SRNAs who are "ANTI" AA-C (not all CRNAs or SRNAs agree with the AANA or their fellow colleagues & negative politics) wants to get so defensive and say your arguments are weak.

For the record Ram I assure I was not arguing just telling the truth and pointing out facts that's all. Which ever route you choose to go to become an anesthetist I sincerely wish you the best in your career as an A.A.-C. or C.R.N.A.

Life is to short for all this unnecessary bickering and childish acts on this board when we all are suppose to be "adults" and professionals across the board. Be at peace God bless
