Well said Dave J I couldn't "agree" with you more the AANA and your fellow colleagues CRNAs(not all CRNAs think this way)do see AA-Cs as a threat to their $$$pocket book instead of working as "Collaborative" "Team" to help alleviate the shortage of mid-level anesthesia providers and as well as main anesthesia providers(MDAs/DOAs).
What's really sad is the AANA/CRNA majority(Not all CRNAs)are disrespecting there fellow nurses(BSN/ADN)who still function as a nurse anesthetist but only as a "allied health care anesthetist R.N.,A.A.-C.. Now tell me how does that works?...very sad and sick.
The politics have to stop when it comes to providing patient care to all people across the board in all "STATES"(50) both anesthetists AA-C/CRNA.
