Typical that you would say something like that(CRNA) It's no surprise to me to here you think like that I think It's very selfish and ignorant to make a comment like that WHY?...Like I said before If I was a R.N. with a BSN and I could save thousands of dollars and not have to up root my entire family from there comfort zone just to become a CRNA when I have the full support of my Husband/wife or the entire family blessing in going the AA route when I will be working with another "elite" team as a AA-C(Anesthetist)doing the same exact job as a CRNA in the ACT model.

YES! I would have no problem going to AA anesthetist program I would be very proud and not ashamed of being an AA-C, nor would I ever regret not going the CRNA route. Okay question stanley kristiansen let me turn it around to you let's say you have been a CRNA for 5 years and you lost your license to practice as a nurse anesthetist "in" or "out" the ACT model it doesn't matter the point I'm trying to make is you lost your license as a CRNA starting pay was $120,000 max out was $210,000 in the ACT before you were fired.

Okay now your devastated that you lost your license but you still want to practice as a anesthetist one of your colleagues(CRNA)actually have worked with an AA-C and became very good friends with that anesthetist(AA-C)he/she tells you they probably can help you to become anesthetist again by applying to AA anesthetist program still making six figures again that you were once making in the ACT when you were a CRNA 2 months ago before you lost your job and license as a nurse anesthetist.

Your CRNA colleague appoints you to his/her AA-C friend that may have some connection in giving you a second chance in becoming a anesthetist again as a Allied Health Care mid-level anesthesia provider, you go and apply to AA school although you will have to take some additional pre-med courses in order to be accepted into AA program that you did not have or had to take in CRNA program. So now that you have taken your extra courses the University School of Medicine that teach and train AA-Cs and the National Board of Medical Examiners(NBME) looks into your background past on why you were fired and why you lost your license and how serious it was.

Now that they have looked into your record and realize in there opinon it was not serious enough to lose your license so the University excepts you into their AA-C program while taking a big risk letting you practice anesthesia again But they believe and trust that "you" won't mess up or disappoint them in any way.

You will be in classes with all health care professionals from different back ground such as RCPs, RRTs, CCPs, ATs/ATTs, EMTs, MTs, PMs, CVTs, and YES RNs(BSN/ADN)in class with you too(All have a Bachelors Degree in Science)!as a AA-S(Student Anesthetist). When you go to clinical your preceptors(Instructor) are Anesthetist-AA-Cs, Anesthesia Residents MDs CA-1, CA-2 & CA-3, and MDAs Physicians but mostly "AA-Cs" & "Anesthesia Residents MDs" who plays a huge role in their clinical.

After 2 1/2 years now your a Anesthetist again a AA-C(Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant/Anesthetist) starting at $120,000 max out at $210,000 as a new grad(AA-C)you work with CRNAs in the ACT as well the new grad CRNA comes out of school making the same exact pay starting $120,000 max out at $210,000 in the ACT too. In closing what your saying is if you lost your license as a CRNA and have the potential of practicing anesthesia again making six figures annually and they gave you a second chance the AAAA/NBME to become a anesthetist again what your telling me is NO! you would not except there offer?.

If that is true what your saying then you are a "sick" and "ignorant" person truth be told WHY?...because #1.You loved your job as a CRNA and #2.You have a family to provide I assure you won't be making nearly what you were making as a nurse anesthetist working at the bed side as a regular staff nurse and that's if they don't take your R.N. license way, I know in some states R.N.s have two types of license.

If I was a CRNA and I lost my licence when I feel I shouldn't have lost my license when I had loved my job seriously as a "nurse anesthetist" and I know that I can become a anesthetist again with the AAAA/NBME who are willing to give me a second chance "YOU DAM RIGHT I WOULD BE THE FIRST CRNA(Use to be)STANDING IN LINE AT A AA PROGRAM WITH NO SHAME" if the opportunity was there were doing the same exact job in the ACT what point do you not understand?...It's just the way each school(AA-C/CRNA) teach you on how to give anesthesia period "WAKE UP"

Oh and for the record just know that when you and other negative CRNAs come on here and constantly "DISRESPECT and BAD MOUTH AA-Cs as WELL AS YOUR LONG TIME BSN/ADN NURSES THAT ARE NOW AA-C(ANESTHETIST)THAT ONCE WORKED IN A ICU WITH YOU I WILL BE TAKING THESE DISTASTEFUL COMMENTS(POSTING)TO LEGISLATION AND CONGRESS. To show them just how dirty and evil the AANA/CRNA are towards AA-Cs(Not all CRNAs think like this I respect for them) when all we want is the same rights to practice in all 50 states to better serve the community in all settings as mid level anesthesia providers all "patients have that right" to "both" Anesthetist AA-C/CRNA. Good Day Stanley I refuse to let you or any other negative CRNAs who are against AA-Cs on here steal my JOY
