Do check around. Maybe your office of aging could provide a list. You would want some time to tour a place and also read reviews online from residents and family.
For your monthly fee all your needs are met. Here, a Dr, specializing in geriatric medicine can be your Dr if you choose. He has nurse practitioners who visit. He visits once a month. They are on top of any problem you might have. They especially pay attention to your skin, looking for pressure sores.
All places are not the same. My son did the research for me and was pleased with this place and set up a tour for me.
Sometimes we need to share on here. God knows I sure did.
When you tour look at other residents. Do they look content, clean, well taken care of. Check about shower schedules. Laundry, how would you get meals if wheelchair bound, that type of thing...also do they provide free cable and wifi?
