Sorry Connie, I forgot to also say that the info I found was that thuringer hasn't been produced since 2017 but as long as thuringer and summer sausage are suppose to be pretty much the same, he can maybe find the bigger size summer sausage in a deli, I think I've seen the 4" size at one of my local delis.

Oscar Mayer also quit making thuringer, along with around 9 other lunch meats back around 2020.
