I wonder if any of you have had any problems with the intake valve/flap motor assy, related wiring or ECU on a 2004 Golf 2.0 PD BKD engine. We looked at one today that had a new valve fitted in another garage just the other day & the engine check lamp is still coming on after a few stop/starts (we were told that the code would not clear at all before with the old one & the main dealer had the part on the shelf!!!). The ECU changes the output driver signal when you go from ign on to ign off but the motor/flap does not move, there seems to be a position sensor on one of the four wires to indicate movement/position & indeed changes output V when i move plate manually. Autodata is not very specific about this fault & there is not much info, sadly KTS will not identify ECU correctly & ESI codes dont match that of Autodiagnos or launch, ESI only shows basic tests of power & ground. Any help given here would be gratefully recieved, many thanks in advance Philip.
