BOOST PIPE FITMENT (MODIFICATION?) Archived Message

Hi, Went to fit maf but noticed split in boost pipe attached to what ford call the throttle body. To me it looks like a metal body that boost travels through to the inlet with EGR pipe connecting to the side of it. The split pipe is the rubber pipe that connects to the bottom of the body and then travels down to the plastic piping that runs along the bottom of the engine and holds the boost sensor. The pipe is 57mm diameter both ends with a dog leg bend. Ford sent me pipe with 57mm one end, 47mm the other!!!!!! They say that 2 other EGR pipes are needed to make this pipe they sent me fit. I cannot see how this works as these EGR pipes have no effect on the fitment of the new pipe to the metal body. Simply put, one end of the pipe is too small for fitment. Anyone had this problem? Thanks, Kiran
