I would have thought that a constant temp of -23 would have created a code eventually ,anyway its not cured the problem and we learn something new every day . the service history is good.the customer said it was driving fine and the fault occurred instantaneous and the recovery guy diagnosed crank sensor
I do not have vcds my modis has facility of measuring blocks etc?i understand that the needle lift sensor is a magnetic field that detects movement of a rod in the core and is used as a timing reference ?engine revs fine with sensor unplugged but its knowing where to look for correct test data,and I find some snap on data/signature tests incorrect.
As ian suggested in the next post I will have a look on ross tech. thanks
