yes I'm pretty embarrassed ,forgot the fundamentals, this engine had also had a cam belt replaced!
I had & theres a big word here,"assumed"my technician had followed the cam belt replacement procedure ,using the tools provided,oh no crank half a tooth out , he hadn't slackened the cam pulley and the rest is history.
I sort of can't understand why it didn't throw a cam correlation code?
any ways car sorted,& a warning with some training afoot me thinks
that was a long time searching for a fault we created & I'm open to criticism ,i feel pretty very humble
its always a learning curve
