Year of Manufacture *: 2011
Engine Size and Code *: CFFB 2.0 CRDI
( Optional ) Scanner Used: VERUS PRO, MAXISYS
Vehicle came in, in limp mode glow plug light on and DPF symbol on dash.
Plugged in and found code for "DPF regeneration duration" (I apologise for not having the exact code number and description I will amend post with said info tomorrow)
Checking actual values I can see nothing out of the ordinary, calculated soot mass is at 10g, DPF pressure at
KOEO is 0mbar, idle 9.0mbar and revved hits 30mbar
Am I correct in thinking that this is possibly due to the customer (trader) stopping the self regeneration by not meeting the required parameters and thus set the code? would this cause the limp mode to activate?
The car has done over 100,00 miles and hasn't done a regen in 50,000!
the only figure that did jump out at me was the measured soot mass which is -0.41g?
Also there is a reading for offset differential pressure sensor which dosent move off of 0.
Also (again) the pressure sensor only has one connection to the dpf the other is a inch long hose straight into atmosphere? never seen that before?
Sorry for the huge post but I suspect this system is different from others I have fixed before and wanted a better understanding of it before I went any further and thought it best to ask here, I will be researching the system myself but thought you knowledgeable chaps would be able to help.
I look forward to the replies.
Code cleared and did not return after road test but dash DPF symbol is still on and neither scanner used would complete a forced regen?
