Hi ian thanks for your responce , should have writen up my first slightly differently given your reply,

the last 2 miss fuels i have delt with have been modern common rails one of them had been driving around for a week on a mix of petrol/diesel, ran fine after cleaning it up

what i should have said at the end was out of say 10 diesel miss-fuels how many have you had to replace injectors/pumps etc on.

just how common are ruined pumps/ injectors ?
