Is there no way you can connect your shop airline to either your glow plug adaptor or to the hose coupler of the diesel compression gauge.

I've done this before with my Sykes compression tester and just an airline regulated connected directly to the fitting.

But in all fairness you don't need the gauges for a quick test but they are handy to see how much leakage is present.
