Hi,
I have this merc sprinter 906/311 2.1cdi in the workshop with no fault codes recorded.
When it idles for 5 mins it starts to blue smoke excessivly, it smells more like diesel then oil. I have done a head gasket test with a sniffer and it is ok.
I have done a injector leak off test and they seem ok. Live data shows fuel pressure good and maf readings good. i have tested EGR and it's fine. Any ideas of what to do next/ what to scope.
I,m thinking valve timing out but it is a big job to check on these engines, anyone got a good scope reading of cam/crank? could it be a cracked head?
Any advice please?
