( Optional ) Scanner Used: Mach vci

Hi,
I have got a Peugeot 307 2lt hdi with engine code RHR.
Eml on and I have read fault code which is fuel additive fault,
The engine is idling rough and there is a lot of black/ blue smoke out of exhaust , I have filled the additive tank which was only half full, I tried to force a dpf regen but it keeps failing.
I have not done much with these systems so any help will be appreciated, got a feeling it could be the fuel additive ecu!
