These need in excess of 200bar to run, I would personally be checking all my reference and voltage signals at the maf and cmp.
The wiring that goes around the top cambelt cover is known for breaking/chafing so maybe worth a look but it sounds to me like a possible man made fault if it was o.k before injector seals were changed.
Dont woory about economy mode that will go once the vehicle is running again,
