I reckon your feelings of jubilance will be short lived. I hope I'm wrong but it will be back.
So to recap, the chain of events are
you fitted a re-con turbo
you then removed the re-con turbo and stripped it.
you then refitted and still had the problem
you have now adjusted the main body of the turbo to alter the lower & upper stop positions of the ERA. This has got rid of the DTC P132B.
It seems you have not grasped how finally tuned and set up these VGT / ERA turbo are.
Just because you have satisfied the PCM with lower and upper position are now correct what about the turbo boost pressure curve.
These Turbos are set-up to follow the boost pressure MAP in the PCM very accurate.
I would be very surprised if it does not return with a over or under boost code.
These turbo's can only be calibrated and checked at the point of manufacture to be 100% sure they are going to perform correctly throughout the complete pressure curve.
How much time have you lost on this job. Then offset this against the price of a NEW turbo I bet the new Turbo will work out cheaper.
You can only charge the customer once, so make sure you do it right the first time.
Which company supplied the Re-con Turbo
