Hi Dave it does not report a code when the arm is disconnected the arm works as it would normally. When i tried this i noticed the motor arm moved further over when started with arm off and stayed put instead of moving all the way back. so i umplugged the actuator so it stayed where it was and then altered the body of the turbo until the arm lined up again, the result it works fine no codes and power restored ! confused but happy. I still have a variable idle between smooth and rough.When it idles roughly I get a buzzing sound from the injectors or at least you can feel it in the pipework. other than that i will fit a new map as the intake temperature within that is faulty just to make sure.

SO yes a new turbo would have fixed it i agree but i was convinced the actuator was ok as it worked on another car, so it seems that if the vanes start to stick then the actuator arm movement would be restricted and hence the 132b code would show when the actuator itself is ok so if stripped and cleaned would fix most maybe..? although i suspect i rebuilt it wrong although i marked it all before i stripped it. I am a bit of a strip things and see if i can fix rather than just replace but justifying the time when you dont cure can be hard i know .
