There is one CTS and a separate temp guage sender.
Disconecting the CTS results in longer glow time and engine starts first turn. Unfortunatly CTS seems to controll everything else as well and engine doesnt like it off so leaving it disconnected (and old trick from simpler times ;-) ) will not work in this case.
Cold resistance appears to be around 2.8K But since AD has no D on this I do not know if this is reasonable or not.
(Thinks, possible solution may be to simply wire in an old fashioned glow plug relay like I have on my VW van when I converted it to diesel)
But it would be nice to achieve a "Proper" fix...
