As Steve has said a good grounding course.
As for someone at your level I think bits would be of interest but some parts may be to basic.
The common rail course has been updated and may be of more interest to you.
I only mainly have experience of Denham as a venue and only mainly the diesel instructors (did one with Ed Kapps).
The only one I did do outside was the vsd 12 (a while ago) with Steve Waters.
Common rail and the 16 pin plug has made diesel more accessible (that is the trouble sometimes), but I still get several phone calls for advise on edc ve systems, so there is still a call for VSD 12 in my mind.
As for drawing experiences from old systems, yes I do this all the time (basics) because under all of this emission level driven electronics there is still the same mechanical components.
