Small world isn't it! Yes indeedy it is the same vehicle. Spoke to the garage the other day and said someone came down to code read it. It apparently only had two and a half litres of ATF in it and the capacity should be seven litres. When it was topped up, all DTC's cleared but still dropped into limp mode. It was then diagnosed (by you?) that a new gear box was required.
Incidentally, the customer was informed that the original map was still in the engine ECU and queried whether I had actually re-mapped the thing. Although, the original file and software number is present, the file had in fact been modified.
Customer also mentioned to me that the car was now back-firing and stalling and queried a bad re-map. Did you find this? However, a quick call to the garage confirmed it was doing this but cured by sticking some diesel into it as it was just about empty.
I am now resigned to chasing this toss-pot through the Small Claims Court to obtain my fee.
Best Regards
