Hi All
I tried to keep the post brief in an attempt not to bore anyone but here goes. The only code that keeps returning is P0046 (on my Modis).
I have removed the turbo and checked the variable vane operation. I have done my best to ascertain that the maf sensor is OK via live data. A friend of mine came around with his Bosch KTS and the description for the code that came up was indicating that the turbo waste gate solenoid required adaptation. (i,m sorry but i forgot to write the code and description down as he was in a hurry) The KTS was able to activate the variable vane and it moved as you would expect it to. However it did not have the option to re-set the adaptation.
When at WOT in the garage the actuator does not move at all.
I realize from looking at some of the posts on this forum that some people are looking for someone to tell them how to fix the car before they even open the bonnet and most of the regular knowledgeable technician's don't like that but i feel i have tried to fix this car and i am just asking for a little information to help me proceed so that if i do have to send the car elsewhere i can say i did my best to help my customer with his problem.
