sorry for this late reply, but only today I found microscopic pictures of quills of several tenrecines in a German-language reference:

There are pictures of Echinops telfairi, Setifer setosus and "Dasogale fontoynonti" which in fact is a juvenile S. setosus. I don't know if this is of any value for your studies but I thought I'd mention it.
