It is called Dysphotopsia. It happens to those whose eyes are sensitive. Mine have always been very sensitive to anything that blinks, flashes or changes in my visions. It can take weeks or months to stop. The first eye optometrist that discovered it was over 50 years ago and my first glasses when I was newly married. He was flipping through the lenses in the machine that he had against my eyes and suddenly stopped and ran and got the waste basket.
He said I had turned as white as a sheet and he knew I was very sick. Which I was but I didn't know why until he told me I had very sensitive eyes. I was actually seeing the edge of the lens. My brain has to become accustomed to it. Until it does I will get sick at certain times.
I had my second visit to my optometrist since surgery today and he said the second eye's surgery needs to be cancelled and pushed forward. That he would do all of that. So it's a waiting game. I do know my cataract in my right eye is only 2 1/2 and unless it is obstructing your vision you don't need surgery until it is a 5 or 6.
