Doucoure was preferred to Carlos Alcaraz yesterday against Forest.
Despite there being a chance he won’t be at the club next season, with his contract expiring, Doucoure remains a big player for Moyes.
After yesterday’s game, Moyes spoke about Doucoure and what he brings to the table – and it’s clear he really loves what he brings to the table, and feels he is somewhat underappreciated.
He said: “Good for Doucs because he does an awful lot of work for the team, which sometimes goes unnoticed"
Here's Moyes on Phil Neville from way back in 2009
‘What he does often goes unnoticed, but he has played a major part in what we’ve achieved because he shows the other players what is required"

if we were worried about activating the clause then just don't start him in matches
Bring him on at half time
At least let us see what he has to offer
But as things stand Doucoure has always been selected ahead of him

he's done more than 45 minutes 5 times and has played in several positions including on the wing. He's been a sub 8 times.
of the games he has played less than 45 minutes, he has played 13', 9', 27', 15, 23 and 11 minutes.
In his limited playing time he's looked technically our best midfielder, by some distance.

Cant see there being a big queue for him in the summer either!
