Is it something like "other football fans, who are not JC, are confused by short-term trends and don't know how to analyze the signal from the noise"? Because I don't think that's fair. This is a low-bandwidth message board, not a university seminar on how to populate and quantify a thirty-factor model of management ability while keeping in mind all the rules and heuristics of data science and statistics.

after Moyes initial new manager bounce we are now 1 win in 9
Form guide
6 games
Moyes 5
Dyche 6
8 games
Moyes 7
Dyche 7
10 games
Moyes 11
Dyche 8
12 games
Moyes 15
Dyche 12
14 games
Moyes 21
Dyche 16
there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between Moyes the messiah and Dyche the utterly shit manager
We are also now 5 goals in 8 games despite Moyes having a lot more attacking options open to him than Dyche did towards the end - 2 of those 8 games were against sides with the poorest defensive records outside of the bottom 3
Moyes seems to be following the Dyche methods of trying to keep a clean sheet and hoping to get something down the other end Previous Message

Moyes has already told us why Doucoure starts ahead of him
Doucoure was preferred to Carlos Alcaraz yesterday against Forest.
Despite there being a chance he won’t be at the club next season, with his contract expiring, Doucoure remains a big player for Moyes.
After yesterday’s game, Moyes spoke about Doucoure and what he brings to the table – and it’s clear he really loves what he brings to the table, and feels he is somewhat underappreciated.
He said: “Good for Doucs because he does an awful lot of work for the team, which sometimes goes unnoticed"
Here's Moyes on Phil Neville from way back in 2009
‘What he does often goes unnoticed, but he has played a major part in what we’ve achieved because he shows the other players what is required" Previous Message
if we were worried about activating the clause then just don't start him in matches
Bring him on at half time
At least let us see what he has to offer
But as things stand Doucoure has always been selected ahead of him Previous Message
he's done more than 45 minutes 5 times and has played in several positions including on the wing. He's been a sub 8 times.
of the games he has played less than 45 minutes, he has played 13', 9', 27', 15, 23 and 11 minutes.
In his limited playing time he's looked technically our best midfielder, by some distance. Previous Message
Cant see there being a big queue for him in the summer either!
