Now, is there anything else to this story? I’d guess yes. Like, her mom in Honduras wants her back. Or she has a drug offense. Or she spit on the cop when she was arrested. At this point I only support Trump because I know the media can’t be trusted to take a lenient stance on Trump like they did for Obama and Biden (and I think they should for anyone tasked with protecting the people).

But there are so many other priorities beyond some of the things Trump is committed to. And WHERE THE FUCK IS HIS HEALTHCARE PLAN, fucking asshole.

Many people who might support him on immigration and deportations don't want removal of a college student who came here as a child with her parents and stayed out of trouble.

She is taking the spot of an actual American in an American college which takes federal dollars. She is almost assuredly on a full or nearly full ride scholarship that should be going to an actual American.

I'm tired of having my tax dollars go to educate foreigners at every level of education. All I get in return is less money in my pocket, one less spot for my kids in college, less student aid for my kids, one less spot in the workforce, etc, etc.

People want to just look at the snapshot of this girl and say boo hoo, why are we doing this to her. The reality of the situation is that there are millions of her and collectively they are ruining the future of our youth.

Let her and everyone like her go make Honduras great. I don't want any of them here. I don't want to foot the bill for any of them....not one. I care about actual Americans. Until we fix every issue at home, I don't want to spend a single cent on anyone from another country.

There is a strong chance that Democrats have the Presidency and at least one of the branches of Congress in four years.

What are we doing today to make sure that Biden era policies can't be easily re-implemented?

Stopping them from coming was goal #1. Getting as many "bad hombres" as possible out was goal #2.

Preventing lax border patrol and immigration policies in the future SHOULD be priority #3.

I don't know whether the "facts" of this case are correct. You can't make decisions or rule based on anecdotes. The news around me, with a large Latino population, is almost always about the cases hoping to cause sympathy.

For example, a neighborhood that has lost some people has had an economic impact on local stores. And who doesn't feel some sympathy for innocent shop owners and food joints that need all the business they can get.

Letting in 40 million +++ illegals into our country and sending housing, health care, and food(yes food, because they are all receiving SNAP and other assistance) prices through the roof.....All the while while those same 40 million + drive down wages for young Americans.

I don't care if a handful of stores that cater to illegals go out of business if it means that young people can afford a home and a reasonable standard of living such that they'll consider/want to have a family.

Do we now have to re-open every case where deportation orders were created? Should deporation orders become invalid after a certain amount of time?

I agree that these cases do nothing but create problems, but how do you handle them? And the first time that you "let this one go" and that person gets a DUI and/or kills a kid at some point in the future... Are you prepared to answer to that kids parents?
