4. Turned on and off and adjusted at the whim of a lightweight thinker without a plan. People and markets don't like chaos.
5. Major contributor to inflation, along with a gigantic budget deficit and the Iran war.
6. Cost vs. benefit analysis bringing in limited jobs is unlikely to be positive.

Voters hated them, and thus were a political disaster.
