Friend's father is buried locally in a double plot, with the still-living mother's name on her side of the memorial marker. Friend visited the site recently, only to find that a metal plaque covered his mother's name.

The father's sister - estranged from the family - occupied the grave intended for the mother, and her name was on the plaque. What? How did that happen?
