Then Cabrini Green was torn down and the West Loop got developed, so now it's majority White and Asian.
Will be interesting to see how long Burnett's son is able to hold onto the alderman role.

JMHO, but gerrymandering on the ward level would be to jam in someone else in that neighborhood; not necessarily to protect Walter Burnett (Senior).

Seemed like a decent enough guy (though part of the machine), though the ward was gerrymandered fairly ridiculously.
