And yea…palms down are hard. These are (should be?) pretty great for grip. I need help with that on my right hand. About 15 years ago I broke my pinky and had it surgically repaired. As such, it doesn’t close completely like my other fingers and doesn’t offer as much grip strength. Pinky seems like it shouldn’t matter, but try to lift something / anything without using your pinky. All of the exterior muscles on your forearm aren’t engaged. It sucks!  Previous Message  Previous Message 1. Palms out infront of me and bar held just by my fingers make a fist to curl it and then curl my wrists / palms upward. Don't move your elbows or shoulders. 2. Do the same things but reverse with palms down.  Previous Message Though I have added some muscle bulk and tone to the forearms since February. I just started working on my shoulders by taking my curl bar with an above the bar grip, starting at about waist / groin level and drawing it up to about my sternum. Kind of a shoulders shrug maneuver, I guess.
