We should have sacked him straight after the Wembley game but our board an owners can’t see past their noses.

I’m not a Mellon fan myself, but sacking him after the final, with a year left on his contract would have been unthinkable.
The time to part company should have been when his 3 yr deal finished at the end of last season.

Unfortunately, we have him for another 2 years which for me will be 2 years wasted. They’re not sacking him unless we’re in real danger of relegation. However, if this poor run were to continue for any length of time I think Mellon himself would probably resign anyway!

We’ll know more at the end of October I should think……
