Paddy Madden started 11 times and on the bench another 8 out of 23 matches for Accrington in second half of this season. Wasn’t suggesting that he would be a first choice. More like 5th choice striker behind Fondop, Drummond (hopefully), Mellon jnr (or ANO) and Kavanagh (or hopefully ANO). A wise old head who could fill in occasionally from the bench. Very much a like for like for Garner.

Rob Hunt is 30. 31 by start of next season. Hardly past it. Can play either RB or LB, with a preference for right back. Played mainly left back in his two seasons for us for lack of other alternatives in that position, while we had several other options for RB. I’m not particularly sold on him. Just floated the suggestion to see what others thought.
