I just checked and it was actually towards the end of Corney’s reign in 2016 that he was approached.
He actually agreed terms and was set to sign a contract but changed his mind……
"I just woke up on the day it was due to be happening later that day and it just didn't feel right. I couldn't go into any football club if it just didn't feel right.
