Well it’s each to their own Bobby, but have you heard the crowd groan at BP when Hudson or any of our defenders launch the ball 70 yards up the pitch. In my opinion it’s a dreadful way to play the beautiful game. Did attendances not fall around the early eighties with the introduction of bootball and only start to recover in the early nineties when teams started to ditch it, and didn’t we have two Wembley appearances playing proper football. Long ball is definitely not for me, winning isn’t everything. It can be done and should be done with flair no matter what division you’re in.
