Yes. In our "Geographic" monograph we advanced the conjecture that the origin of non-sanguinity was in the Middle East, by mutation, late in the "Out of Africa" migration of Modern Homo sapiens. So, by then Polynesia likely had been in the process of being colonized. The conjecture followed from our observation of the lack of non-sanguine types in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as their lack in the Australian Aborigines, Melanesia and the indigenous New World. How exactly there was a trickle of spread of non-sanguine types to India and SE Asia is anyone's guess, but if one looks at the paths taken by migrations linked to Y-chromosomal and m-DNA types (also shown in our Monograph), one can see that there were well defined paths of migration from the Middle East westward toward SE Asia.
