The film, based on the posthumously-published novel Memory by Donald Westlake, makes "amnesia noir" safe for a time frame we only hope we'll be able to forget & re-teams up the lauded Charlie Kaufman (excutive producer) and his ANOMALISA partner Duke Johnson (director, co-adapter) in a film originally set to star Ryan Gosling, but now given what could be an intriguing racial twist with André Holland in the lead role instead.
