I stopped watching the video after about a minute. The background music was distracting, and the narrator's voice was annoying. I always wonder if the narrations on these cheapo videos are computer generated.
I have seen L. Scott in several movies, including the one where she plays twins, and I always find her to be stiff, with frozen facial features. She seems to play every part the same way and I cannot stand her voice.
My theory is that when Lauren Bacall semi-retired to raise her children they tried to make L.Scott the next Lauren Bacall, dressing her in slacks and having her speak in a deep voice, wear her hair the same, and smoke a lot. But maybe I am just imagining that.
I agree that she is forgotten. Her name never comes up in my "old movie" conversations with friends. And unlike Bogart, Bacall, and some of the other big names that even casual viewers of old movies remember, she is indeed forgotten.
I am a huge Gloria Grahame fan. L. Soctt lacks the warmth, craziness, sexiness, and sense of humor of GG.
This video says L Scott "shined brighter than most" stars. No, she didn't. She is one of many who never quite made it into a major constellation.
And she did not "leave an enduring mark."
