Imo we have lost four very good players who would get in any team in the first division.
As far as I am aware only one of those had a clause in there contract allowing them to leave.
If the reason the others were allowed to go is because of wages then imo we should have gambled on paying them more and trying to ensure an immediate return to the champ.The money we need to spend on replacements in transfer fees (and they are likely to be inferior ) would compensate the additional salary.
They were all contracted to us and with good man management could have been made to play.I think even if a player wants away the majority of them will still do there best as it’s a pride thing.
If we are in the third tier when power court eventually opens it will be half full after the initial euphoria.
Personally gutted to see Alfie leave ….when fit one of our best players and imo had he not got injured at a crucial time we would have stayed up last season.
