LBC were one of the richest in the late 1980's with huge assets. The decline has been spectacular and there's little money. The station car park that was completed in 2011 could only be built because they sold off other land.

As you are aware, the Town takes out far more than it puts in as regards taxes so income/ccompensation from London Boroughs is vital - though there seems to be evidence that the money LBC gets is not enough when the strain on particular services are examined such as child and mental health services and others.
