    A good manager will play a system that suit the players he has and gradually bring in players to play his favoured system.

    I think managers have become so rigid in how they play and are not actually managing the players to be able adapt to different formations.

    When you have injuries short or long term it is crucial you can change the system for what you have on the pitch.

    Man City suffered massively from not adapting when Rodri was injured.

    They should have gone more direct, as their patient game was broken because when they lost the ball they had no Rodri to win it back.

    Edwards was a prime example of having a system that none of the players could play.
