MB has already said it's not a one window fix. We have money but we need the right players - we don't want to repeat the stupid purchases of the last 4 windows. If he's trying for a specific style of play then that will take time. It took NJ a while to get the right pieces into place. When Pleat sold Paul Futcher, he brought in what, 7 players that formed the nucleus of the great 81/82 team, but it took three seasons to get there.

So I expect us to be bouncing around mid table this season with the usual mix of great wins and horrors. Managing expectations is the key - does MB have that quality? Or do we need to get Sir John in from Southend to help out.
